Ricardo Soriano got married in the church of Saint Honore Paris d 'Eylau on July 2, 1907, the U.S. Italy Maria Blair Mitchell (born in Chicago on October 27, 1883). Eldest daughter of Chauncey Justus Blair, President of the National Bank of Chicago and a member of one of the wealthiest American families of the nineteenth century. His mother, Mary Anne Mitchell Italy, belonged to influential clan Mitchell, family of bankers and owners of major railway lines in the State of Illinois. Fruit of his relationship with Ricardo Soriano was born in 1910 his only daughter, Ines Soriano Blair. The pair distance in the year 1920.
Throughout his life, and outside his homeland, Ricardo Soriano lived in Paris, Biarritz, Bilbao and Madrid, before calling at the Malaga coast, where it is considered the undisputed discoverer and promoter of Marbella. Named son of the town in his honor, he was named after is now the main avenue of Marbella.
It all started at the end of World War II, when most of Europe and the world suffered its consequences, and large fortunes had escaped from the contest as they had been, each other to Portugal and Switzerland. Ricardo Soriano's mother was from Malaga, and the boy had spent some summers at the Palacio del Rey Moro in Ronda , owned by his aunt Hermensdorff Trinidad von Scholtz, Marquesa and Duchess of Parcent Belvis of Navas. But it was not until 1943 when Ricardo Soriano came to the town of Marbella invited by his friend and owner of the hacienda Guadalmina, Norberto Goizueta. Two years later he had bought the farm and Rodeo Rodeo High Low (a total of 220,000 square meters) in the amount of 110,000 pesetas (a real fortune in those days). According to John Carl Reiner on one of his books, Ricardo Soriano became aware of the important transfer of people who came and went from France to Morocco Protectorate using the port of Algeciras, so I decided to construct shelters for the passengers who could move night. Thus was born the "Sale and Hostels El Rodeo", designed by the same and built next to his private residence. It also put into operation the first sound movie theater in Marbella (Cine El Rodeo ").
Despite his reputation for eccentric aristocrat and vividor (his collection of female pubic hair inspired the film director Berlanga a sequence of his film "National Trust") would be deeply unfair not to recognize the merit of being first and foremost a man ahead of his time by virtue of possessing a highly entrepreneurial, creative, and multifaceted: businessman, politician, brilliant inventor, athlete, and great adventure. Stage of his political life, between 1914 and 1916, pointed out that record was a Conservative Member of Parliament for Salamanca. And note that his career as an industrial engineer and businessman came notable inventions like the first marine engines "off-board, sports cars, aircraft engines and motorcycles.
